On assignment for Capital News Service at the Fair Maps Rally at the Supreme Court in Washington, D.C. March 26, 2019.

Hi, I'm Natalie.

I graduated from the University of Maryland in May 2020 with a B.A. in multiplatform journalism and minors in sustainability and professional writing. Currently, I'm serving as the marketing director at Annapolis Sailing School. In warmer months, I'm on the water working as a professional sailing instructor as well. I recently freelanced for The Washington Post's Real Estate section, working on neighborhood features monthly.

One of my favorite things about journalism is that every day is different. The news cycle is always running and changing, and that drives my interest in it. I loved that my experiences throughout college took me everywhere, from reporting in the chambers of the Maryland State House for Capital News Service to taking my pen and notebook to cover a Coast Guard cutter in Baltimore for Chesapeake Bay Magazine to everywhere else in between.
